At one point I thought the radio host had caught the reference and was playing along. That would've been sweet.

Pretty funny, could have been done better though.

Heh, just goes to show that even one of the bigest icons of the gaming community is still mostly unknown to the none gaming community <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />

They're just too old. They should get younger immediately.

Of the PC gaming community. I could go into a Halo 3 match with the name "Gordon Freeman" and plenty of people would not get the reference.

Well we have to change that.

We'll create an independent political party called the Black Mesa Party and submit Gordon Freeman as a presidential candidate. We'll raise money in his name, find an actor to play him and make absurd claims.

"Gordon Freeman doesn't actually use ranged weapons. It's fear of his crowbar that kills enemies at range."

Yeah could have been much better. Rather than babbling about the other side of the door he could have made references to seeing him before waking up on a random train ride in Eastern Europe and making some obsurd reference to his stammer.

My main problem with this though which really does make it crap is, Gordon never ever speaks and that is how it should remain.
