Trying to find information for this online is not easy. My boss has Frontpage (eww, gross, I know, blah blah. Don't care, it's what he's using, no whining please) on his PC. He was wondering if we setup remote desktop to it so other people in the office could do work with it when he is not around would be allowed under the Microsoft Licensing Agreements stuff ™. I went hunting to email MS about it, but at a handy fee of $49 per email, I decided to ask around here if anyone knew.

Personally, I think we would suppose to use one license per user.

This is from the Frontpage 2003 EULA (available <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=478630CA-3137-4E82-A539-225B7BA80D2A&displaylang=en" target="_blank">here</a>).

Section 1.3 License Grants for Remote Desktop.

"You may use remote access technologies, such as the Remote Desktop feature in Microsoft Windows or NetMeeting, to access and use your licensed copy of the Software, provided that only the primary user of the device hosting the remote desktop session accesses and uses the Software with a remote desktop device."

So unless the agreement was much different for his version (highly unlikely) it would appear its a pretty explicit "no".

Thanks JazzX. Thought I had looked for the EULA hard enough, obviously not.

Well, the only issue with that wording is that the program has no way of knowing who is using it. They can't tell whether it's you at each of those remote computers or other people.
