What's with the huge text? It's hard to read, especially 'cos it's a serif font.
Hmmmmm, I can understand factions -within- each side, though less so on the alien side since I question the level of intelligence and social relations of the Kharaa lifeforms that could lead to such things as political rivalries. (They're the spawn of micro-organisms, after all. Not exactly an alliance of individual species a la Halo's Covenant. And they seem to be quite unified in their elimination of the human race.)
And I also question the ability for Marines to communicate with the Kharaa; coupled with each side's obvious species rivalry, that is, to survive the other must perish - ruling out alien-marine alliances.
The background of MvM could be quite simple, perhaps, different political factions within the same organisation - six or seven years after the initial fighting, there's bound to be a difference of opinion - quite possibly escalating into a firefight.
And implementing AvA in terms of the storyline seems quite simple now actually.. Different colonies of the same creatures fighting over the territory and resources in order to further their own colony. Basically, kinda like ants.
Hmm, speaking of, I wonder what has happened to the other life (plants, animals etc.) on Earth, since there's an obvious lack of illustration or mention in both the game and accompanying backstory - afaik.
Oh, I don't think it defies the game to have that. I would love to see it. It is just like what Game Genie did for games back in the day. It's not that we need it for the main interest in the game, but it would be a nice change of pace for this game.
