In essence, all I'm really saying is that I think that if one of the goals of the podcasts are to keep a sort of connection with the community, or to give us something to chew on as we wait for the first release, that the community would more appreciate a simple but genuine podcast about what's really going on behind the scenes. Sort of akin to Roosevelt's Fireside Chats, rather than being given "interesting" or more colorful news updates that might be essentially unrelated to what's really on you guys' minds.
I could be totally off with this, since I don't have webalizer statistics to figure out if a fireside chat would actually be appreciated. In any case, it's just something to think about.

Just like being in school you aren't always studying. Similar to programming im assuming you don't just program all day. Therefore you won't always have content on say ns2 due to being busy in other frameworks of life. This is the type of podcast I enjoy, update on just the general hap's on what's going on. Also on ns2 probably why there isn't much of an update is due to how much new content there might be. Sure they will have new maps some new creations. But it most likely won't be super distant from the original. So they will be releasing content slowly due to not being that many revolutionary new things. They will creep out in time which will be fun to hear about.

Flayra, you already have naturally selected all the ns players that can't wait for half a year due to the forum downtime, so don't bother, when there are lacks of updates/podcasts. We can deal with it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

Has it been 7 years.. Boy, the time sure flies when *BLAH BLAH BLAH*. I DO have total confidence in 'the TEAM', I have watched and enjoyed the development processes, from here in Oz.. But I do feel that there has been a LULL in gameplay and all this 'customizing' has degenerated the entire project. There is a definate need for a cinema feature for NS, IMHO.
What is wrong with you people? Some of you need attitude adjustments. Who are you to dictate what Charlie and Max should and shouldn't talk about. I agree with the guy who said that this is their game, their site, their podcast. Frankly, you guys have no say in what they talk about, unless you're an investor of course. I personally support them no matter what they talk about and you should be doing the same in stead of complaining. Seems like some of you are so isolated from the "Meatspace" (real world). Believe it or not, but some of us like to hear about people's personal lives. It doesn't always have to be about "cyberspace", video games and NS2. Podcasts are just a way to get to know developers better, not to force information out of them. Just so you guys remember, they're doing you a favor by making podcasts, so you should be thanking them for that.

It's a shame that you're in a position like that, and you were exceptionally polite with a response that could have easily (and rightfully) been a good deal harsher.
With that said though, there were problems leading up to the general concern over activity. It's not to say that there's any real pressure for UWE to develop just because a group of obscure internet people will it - but rather that there have been a few precedents that could give reasonable concern from anyone, not just a rambling bunch of idiots on a company website, as to how much attention and bated breath is reasonable to apply to future products.
In essence, all I'm really saying is that I think that if one of the goals of the podcasts are to keep a sort of connection with the community, or to give us something to chew on as we wait for the first release, that the community would more appreciate a simple but genuine podcast about what's really going on behind the scenes.
