more modes in the game

like no spawn mode so its a battle to the death ,there will be res and you can build just like any other type of game accept you cant build ips and some people are drawn to a more CS based game play

or no armory that way the units are reliant on the commander
it gives the commander experiance of delivering supplies to units on the battle field instead of getting asked every so oftin

or no rt mode that way only way to get res is to kill enemeys
more stratagy is involved in this one cause you would have to kill the enemy to get res

    the devs have said that there many server options and plugins

    i think there whould be a server whit these options

    Most of the game is written in Lua script code, making it very easy to modify. If you - for various undisclosed reasons - feel the need to disable spawning, remove all rt's, reintroduce babblers, add new buildings, mess with the tech tree, add a new third Barbie race or make the aliens run on rainbow power, you can do so.
    Simply get yourself a trusty text editor, and hack away.

    Extensive modding being one of the major points in the development of NS2, i doubt the devs themselves will bother with more than one mode of play. I expect them to focus on vanilla NS2, and let the community do the modding after release.

    This is how I understand the podcasts, at least, I might have missed something crucial. Like a third robot pirate race. Or space orcs, everybody loves space orcs!

    no theres no 3rd race ive already asked. but they really should consider my idea cause they were talking about putting more game modes in the game

    Are there resources at all? Do people start with a certain amount of tech, or of resources? What happens to those that die? Would the matches only be a few minutes long, and would they require their own new maps?

    Etc.

    But perhaps the biggest question you should be answering is: Why would this be fun?

    In the NS2 FAQ it says that their will be only one game mode but lots of room for custom servers.

    Personally I'm against those long drawn-out suggestions. I just want the general idea. If devs like the general idea, they'll think about how to implement it themselves, right?
