So have you already hired all the artists you want or is there some open space at this new office?
There's not a more deserving dev group out there, IMHO.
You just received a catpack. I hope this means faster development.

Agreed, I am really happy for UW and our chances of playing NS2 just got better <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
I would see this more as they have secured more res nodes and more players just logged on to the server!
Congrats! Here's a toast to good gameplay and a lack of griefers!

PS: No turrets okay? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" />
So you guys have a contract now? cool. contract = deadlines. i cant wait to see the high quality stuff you guys will come up with in the very (at last) near future.
Again congratulations! I contend to this day that NS is the best game ive played, and its only gonna get better...
Good job and good luck! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
OT: Clicked on the various company links you posted and I rediscovered SC: Ghost under Nihilistic. I wanted to play that game so badly... *sigh*
More NS2 news next week? *hopeful* <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

As long as we don't have to play in the same league of be-patient like the Duke Nukem fans, everything is alright <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
Greatest news evar!
I've been reading your blog and I'm planning on educating myself in becoming a game-designer, and honestly I mean,
you get to make your own company and make your game complete, that just have to be awesome.
I'm very happy for you and I hope you'll share more information about how things have gone since the last real game-blog ^^
For example all those "glowies" of yours <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
But \o/ in any case <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
I think the Duke Nukem guys are in a league of their own as far as patience goes! I smell another Daikatana or Phantom console with that one...
Oh and congratulations on the investment, we all kept the faith and knew you could do it! I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying we can't wait to see what happens next! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

I don't want to discourage you or spoil your happyness but you should do some research on Internet. You'll have some opinions on the good things and unfortunatly the bad things of this kind of career.

I have a question :
1 : Is the investor have a 'right to oversee' your work or is it like a share on benefits ?
2 : Do you still intend to buy some maps from the comunity or hire some dedicated people ? or both ? Same for textrure / models etc...
Thanks for your answers.
Besides, I wouldn't want to do a boring job in design, game-design seems in my opinion to be the most "open" one of the designing alternatives and probably the most fun.
Whether people get bad payment, abused or whatever doesn't really matter all that much to me at this point, I'm young (and probably naive). Thanks for that GameCareerGuide though, I'll take a peek at that.
I second that
"2 : Do you still intend to buy some maps from the comunity or hire some dedicated people ? or both ? Same for textrure / models etc..." aswell, seems like a good question.
