Help with NS DOES NOT SUPPORT SOFTWARE MODE

I've been playing NS for a long time ago and forgot the name, I want to play this awesome game again but instead whenever I join a server the screen is all black and says NATURAL SELECTION DOES NOT SUPPORT SOFTWARE MODE. Can anyone tell me the solution to this problem? I would be very thankful.

Nvidia card? My co-workers wanted me to play some DoD 1.3 on lan a little while before i came back to NS. I launched game and everything was all whacky looking, so i tried switching to software mode and got that error. You need to set your in-game gfx options to opengl. If it looks whacky, you need to roll back your drivers to 163.75 forceware.

If u (ALL) not have a VALID STEAM INSTALL, the NS 3.2 is NOT work on LAN PARTY without a crack. only a DOD 1.3 works fine in lan party.
