invisable characters

Hi there. I first time instaled this game, and had some visual problems. Some parts i think are invisable, but the main problem is, that i can't see any character. If i shot aroubnd sometimes i hit something, and i see blood, but not the thing i hit.
I'm using xp profesional.

Just to make sure - you did connect to a server with players on it rather than... say... created your own server, right?

heh, interesting problem.

I assume you tried different servers to see if that was the problem?

some ideas:
1) change your video settings (just play around, see if you can find a problem there)
2) A possible corrupt install, redownload (from a different source) and reinstall.

I had this problem before, but I do not remember what fixed it. I had some strange connection problems using my old laptop (go figure) and I had to turn everything down to software rendering mode, that fixed it for me, but I don't know if you have a fast system what then would be the problem. If I connect to a laggy server sometimes I also see this again, but only a few times since using my lappy. I know it's not my junky system anymore (E6700, 7950 GX2, 2GB XMS2, yuo get the idea), but I still see it with connection problems. Maybe your system doesn't know when/where to render the objects?

Sorry if this does not help, just an idea. *shrug*

This has happened to me sporadically. Restarting the game has worked for me. If your problem is chronic then it is probably different though.

sth like a Hive or alien RT? If I would be a new player I wouldn't really know how to name those.

It does happen every now and again, like someone already said, if rejoining the server or restarting NS didnt solve the problem try tinkering with your graphic settings, if that dosnt work reinstall NS and if all else fails try downloading new graphics drivers.
