    Yes I realize I have a conflict of interest since I work with Jeff, and I have smacked him for advertising, but in this case this could be a good resource for some of our mappers wanting to show off their maps or others wanting to show off NS stuff or NS2 stuff. I recorded a simple walkthrough on my laptop of a flythrough of Altair. <a href="http://www.wegame.com/watch/ns_altair/" target="_blank">http://www.wegame.com/watch/ns_altair/</a> The poor quality from the video is due to my laptop being rather old.

    No recording software will ever be able to provide the same quality as the good old startmovie command in console. Unless you're uselessly lazy, you should learn how to extract game footage the proper way -- your movies will be better off for it.

    where do the files from the startmovie command save, and what filetype are they?

    They are saved in your game folder, .bmp.
