Fogish Spore Mist( for backup and coverup )

I think it would be very interesting, if Gorges could develop the ability to release a gas that would provide cover as it spreads throughout an area while at the same time allowing all skulks to "smell"(see) the gas from anywhere on the map.
The gas wouldn't be like a smoke bomb where you couldn't see anything, but more like a thick fog that clouds distant sight, and an even thicker fog for the ground area.
Skulks would see the fog from anywhere on the map as a distress beacon, and come running to the fog using it as cover as they stealthfully attack marines. This kind of fog could also disrupt the "observatory" signal, which would disrupt all motion tracking for a player who's in the fog.
Gorges, would probably have to develop a certain amount of mucus before they would be able to spit this gas, and it should take some time to do. Yet, it would be worth the wait if a gorge or two boobitrapped the fog with webs to make one huge trap.
Great work on the game guys, the last pod cast about squad grouping ideas really got me thinking of the possibilites. Just remember, if your going to make it easier for the commander and marines to cooperate, I think the aliens will need some extra features to satisfy =].

but one thing thing that came to mind was in regards to this:

The devs seem to already be considering separate energies for each weapon/ability; so wouldn't this actually be in line with that idea? It'd simply be an ability that takes all the ability's energy, and takes some time for it to get it back (in order to reuse it).

Well, when I posted it thats exactly what i was thinking about if it were to be in line here is how it could work.
I assume the fog should last for a while and appear fairly quickly to be of any use. So In my opinion the fog's appearance and disapearance should be gradual.
For example:
If I'm a gorge and I come into a hallway and start using my energy to create the fog, ide actually have to use up a lot of my energy just to create a thin fog. The nice part is, that you could add on to an existing fog and make it thicker. So me as a gorge could continue using whatever energy I regain, and put it into the existing fog i made to thicken it more.
I could use this fog for cover as I setup traps etc.. but I'de have to make sure to keep feeding the fog or it would simply fade away.
This would be hella exciting for an onos ambush, or even an entire team ambush
You teamates / other aliens should be able to see through it or something, so it wont be too much of a handicap.
I also like the idea that its thin at first and then slowly gets thicker. Then more gorges could help each other make it really thick faster.
