Game crashes with Fade

Every time I'm blinking into a group of marines my NS crashes while everyone is shooting at me. This does not happen in any other half life game.

try using +movement instead of the weapon, might fix it.

BTW, if this doesn't do it then give us a definition of 'crashes'

see, the problem is that if it is fixed by using +move, then that is the solution, we don't know any other ones.

try binding it to something that works better for you (mouse 2?)

I have the exact same problem but I have no idea what the solution is supposed to be.
I don't really understand what exactly I should bind to +movement or what it is.

But my problem is a bit different though. NS crashes when I blink, or just walk and it even crashed when I was evolving to Fade.

+movement was added in the latest version of NS. It basically does the leap/blink/charge attack for you, without you needing to switch weapons.

It's also bound, by default, to your reload key. Just try pressing your reload key when in-game to see how it works.

It really is a fantastic addition and I recommend everyone to try it, even if you're not having these freezing issues. Mine is bound to MOUSE2.

But then I don't get it.
I am not using this key and the game still freezes. :/
I think that command is not even bound to a key in my config.

Using the "old" method of manually switching weapons to leap/blink/charge is causing this problem. So using +movement may help you.

The command is bound to your reload key by default. You can bind it to another key of your choice using "bind KEY +movement" OR just use your reload button to activate the +movement action.

Just try using your reload button when you have 2 hives as a skulk, or as a fade in order to blink. You will understand how it works when you have tried it.

If this doesn't fix your problem then something else may be causing it. You could try re-installing NS.

Okay, thank you for the advice and for the explanation.

The funny thing is that it doesn't always crash. Yesterday it worked fine all the time. Strange.
