IE vs Mozilla Rendering

Why does IE look worse?
As I was browsing the forum I accidentally clicked the context switch which changes the rendering from Mozilla to IE. I noticed Mozilla has a bloom/blur effect on the header at the top of the page which makes it look much better than the IE version which does not.

Is this feature not available for IE or was it an oversight that the IE version doesn't have this?

Could you elaborate on the bloom/blur effect, or perhaps give us a screenshot? I've compared the index on both browsers you mentioned and see no difference whatsoever.

Maybe it only happens when using the Mozilla context plug-in(or it's out of date) but specifically look at the UNKNOWNWORLDS logo in the top right. When I perform a switch to IE it becomes more "pixely". I'm not sure I'd be able to capture it with a screenshot but I'll try later.

That's what I thought you were referring to - appears identical when viewed on both browsers here.

Might be plugin related like you said.

I think that was an issue with not supporting transparency in PNGs. That only happens with old versions of IE though.
