<div class="IPBDescription">alien APC?</div>Think of the onos like an APC, there would be 2-4 slots on each of them for skulks. So when a skulk uses E on an onos he would gain defense bonus (both HP and AP around 300 points?) in exchange for not being able to move nor attack. Detaching is either by pressing E again or with leap. The former would simply drop the skulk while the latter gives momentum combined with a 20% bonus for leap hit.

This would be awesome for a rine spawn rush for example, an onos picking up 4 skulks then charging in while throwing aside every marine in its way, then as he reaches the center skulks explode in four directions! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tiny.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::onos::" border="0" alt="tiny.gif" />

    it is already discussed, try "onos transport", but i like youre idea whit the 4 skulks..

    As far as the idea goes, I am not sure if I would want the suggested implementation as a leaping platform but the idea of two life forms joining together to have one as driver (onos) and the other as a gunner has always intrigued me. A sort of 'tank' situation, with the onos running stuff over and looking for the right angles, and the gunner just laying it down. Would definitely have some different play then the marines if there were more symbiotic relationships between life forms.

    Also, the idea has merit with regards to a situation that always bugged me in NS1 that does need improvement - when as a gorge or skulk, I found myself behind an onos, and the onos finds themself needing to get out of dodge for self preservation, and my life form "blocks" the onos. Ridiculous, that Onos should be able to push me out of the way or step right over me. If skulks and other life forms could run beneath a Onos, using the guy as a big ol'shield, that would be amazing.
