no, multiple types, they all go to one type of resource pool, like normally but this will make more logical sense, what is the 'White Gas'? I say have more realistic resources, like metal, and other stuff the aliens might ALSO need. Having diffrent RT Models for them, but making it as simple as placing the Universal RT on them that changes into the apropriet(sp?) model will make it easy on the player or commander
I believe the finite resource mechanic found in many RTS would not apply to NS in the same way. Most RTS games only have local resources, meaning, the resources are gathered at the main base. In order to prevent very long static and overly defensive games the resources eventually run out. NS, on the other hand, has all of its resources located remotely. In general, this eliminates the possibility of impossible-to-break defensive tactics.
On the other hand... I do like the idea of only a few limited resource points that have higher yields. This would allow the addition of more significant resource points without allowing a team to "dig in" defensively around them.
