I am getting an odd popup on my computer. It shows up randomly, somewhere between once a day and once a week. It doesn't actually pop up, I just notice a button for it in my taskbar at some point. I can't do anything with the popup besides close it with alt+f4 (clicking left/right, etc does nothing). I can't even close it using the taskbar (right click does nothing on the taskbar button). Done a sweep of my PC and nothing found that got rid of it.

I included a picture showing the popup and the taskbar button. The one button on the popup window in the top right is because I have dual monitors, it allows me to switch the window between them for those without dual monitors. Ideas?

Try closing some programs one at a time and see which program its coming from.

It looks like orphaned spyware. Like, there's supposed to be an ad there, but proxy/firewall/wierdness are blocking it from being displayed.

With everything probably mentioned, there's one thing left...

Unknown error is most likely related to UWE being in ur computer stealing your bytes!

Get Process Explorer, start it, accept license, click and drag the crosshair onto the popup, find out which process it's running from.

So, using this fantastic piece of software, I caught it this time. It was something left over on this PC (a HP), easy internet signup. I had deleted the internet signup stuff from it, but it left a task in the 'task scheduler' trying to run stuff related to that software. Removed it and should be good to go, thanks!
