Firearm melees?

<div class="IPBDescription">Rifle-butting and such</div>It's a right pain having to wait what seems like an age to get out your knife when you've run out of ammo, and usually get killed before it pops out.

Would it be plausible to grant the ability to whack things with your pistol-grip or the end of your HMG?

The pistol could be about the same fire-rate as the knife, but with less damage, and primary weapons could do slightly more damage but at slower rates.

A nice effect could be the heavier weapons knocking the skulks back, although this should only happen if the gun has no ammo otherwise skulks could never kill marines.

    I could easily knife skulks quickly, you can pull the knife, and as soon as the ammo counter in the bottom of the screen goes away, you can knife. I'd like the idea, if they had very vary melees, but the knife should be superior in all ways to the other melees.
