Nother Bug?

Okay this one is a first for me. I was just recently playing, go onto a server and I found that all of my weapons were messed up. For the alien, my skulk bite did the healing sound and made healing sprites (atleast on my screen) however it still did the bite damage and other players told me they didn't see any healing. As a gorg, the heal made the onos scream. As fade blink caused a siege cannon effect, and various other weapons were screwed up that I forget already. For marine, the knife was a pistol. However all of these effects were only on my screen. Everyone else just saw the normal attacks. This problem persisited through different servers until I restarted HL.

And then when I tried playing again, the server I was on had some kind of bug or hack where everything cost 2 resources. This lead to some really fast and interesting games as both teams developed new tacticts. Usually meant gorgs just ran around shitting out offence and defence towers as they walked and the marines building masses off buildings in a deadly swath of destruction. 3 hives came almost immediately and aliens usually won.

First problem: Weird. That'd be something with your machine.

Second problem: Someone has sv_cheats 1 on their server and all the cheats on. That's annoying in pubs, to say the least.

oh yeah, on the first bug. When I fired the lmg it sprayed out maybe 10 bullets for every actual bullet. Creating a hail of really innacurate bullets effect and each one left a little hit decal on the wall too. Looked neat, but hard to see where I was aiming because I had this blur of tracers in front of me.

Sounds like someone might have been screwing with their server.
