<div class="IPBDescription">Green text on scoreboard, no sprites, etc...</div>Well hello, and thank you for the hbelp you are about to give me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
So, after the awesome and unexpected game break, I've been experiencing some strange problems with my dysplay.
To address a few things before I go on.
1- I checked the stickies, I do not use 2 monitors.
2- Drivers are up to date on my video card (ATI)
3- Reduced gamma, brightness, changed game mode to D3D and even software and still no relief.
So everything first started as everything being brighter than normal. (the yellow was almost white, the blue very light) on all text, including chat text.
Today after a crash while exitng a game, when I rejoined the scoreboard text (the names of players currently playing) is all green. Spectators and ready room is black (cannot be seen when opening the scoreboard). the sprite on structure drop announce are missing, the pointer when opening the build menu is also missing.
There have been no changes done to my game (as far as the NS folder goes, and settings) before this happened, so this problem is not the result of me meddling with the game.
Any idea what might be causing this? I've been asked if I'm running Vista, no I am not running vista, I'm on XP SP2.

this needs to be stickied...
Note the speakers indicate that there is a player in ready room, yet I cannot see their names
no
it tends to come from x64 oses. However they are nto the only cause.
the solution is the same no matter what though (gammaramp)
Yes, that is b/c Gammaramp is a toy that was created and included to break (and thus improve) the HL engine from what I understand. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with a number of different things (x64 OSes, dual monitors, etc etc), and thus you lose the ambiance. Butm washed out is better then unreadable <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
it says to me somthing like "Display does not support downloadable gamma" or somthin like it
i had it working once before, then i went to play and its just kept saying shi* like that, and i have updated everything i can, tryed reinstalling, changing the gamma options and stuff. its really bothersome
because when in the CC i cannot se a thing for building its just black, same with the scoreboard.
would be nice if someone could help with this unusual problem <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
