<div class="IPBDescription">can I use this?</div>Something I really appreciate in the L4D game is object highlighting.
The basic concept is to highlight items you can interact with when your targeting reticule hovers over it.
What this translates into is the ability to tell what can be used. This would solve the problem of trying to find the button on the wall. Currently in NS1 we use very standard button textures. However, what if you want it to be on a screen? Custom buttons? Also, this helps highlight weapons for pickup or distinguishing if the door is operational or a fixed wall with a door texture on it.
This also allows for stronger in-game contextual aids. Highlight a weapon, it prompts you to pick it up. Highlight a medpack, it lets you know you should run over it for health.
As far are obvious buildings in NS, I believe you should highlight them as well, if only for contextual help.
Of course, also add a feature to turn it off if it's destroying your atmosphere and immersion.

so i nice idea, but no or at least have it with like you said.. with the option to turn off.
Sorta, but expand the notifications to more things, such as dropped weapons (if the mechanic stays in) and elevator buttons.
