A new alien for NS2

Well the idea is simple,
perhaps an alien version of "Land Mines".
I'm not sure what it would look like, but these creatures that could be spat out by lerks or gorges or even a new creature that would only serve to locate enemies and make its allies aware of their position.
The "Land Mine'ish" creatures that I'm talking about, if Ran over(not walked), stood on for too long, or crouched on...would suddenly excrete a scented fog-like gas.. very rapidly before dieing. All marines nearby who were touched by the gas would be "Marked with this *Scent*" which allows the Skulks within the area to smell them( see them as if they were parasited). The scent would be temporary and would fade after a "balanced" while, this gas also serves as a perfect cover for an ambush.
They also could blend in well with infestation and possibly slug around a bit in position.

The aliens already have skulks which are pretty much a scout, they have the parasite ability to also identify marines. The other idea sounds good but i think that has most likely been brought up before.
