Custom Aliens?

As aliens have the ability to evolve I feel like this would fit the story perfectly.
Basically during spawn you adjust the values of your alien.
Values being:
Health
Speed
Damage
Size?
Each class has a different range
I am not exactly how the balance system would work out IE point based or pro con based.
Point based meaning you can put X points anywhere you want.
Pro con based
+health = -speed +size
+speed = -health - size
+damange = +size -speed
+size = +damage - speed
OK that is a horrible example but you get the point
Or you can have a hybrid point balance system.
Maybe the player can use resource points to add points to their body.
As you get chambers or hives you get more points or you have higher max and mins

Neat idea. It would make it tough for players to work out exactly how many bullets to kill a skulk, which could become frustrating. But I'm not sure I really see that level of calculation as being totally necessary for the game to be fun (I can see mak rage-uploading a youtube video already).
Celerity - speed
Focus - damage
Carapace - life
Now most of these abilities are weak and should be made stronger and distinctive...
They should not only be full strength with three chambers but also get stronger with the 2nd hive
Player skill and load out (marine weapons / alien life form) is enough variables without having to deal with individual alien attributes.

What is the range?
for example:
If the gorge remove 69 HP, and have 1 HP only ??

and another side, the ONOS:
if the onos have 80 Million HP+AP? and speed is almost zero ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
