Chambers: The Offense Chamber Upgrades

Here's my 2 cents. This is just a collection of ideas to give a well rounded thought on this.
I would like to see Offense chambers be upgradable in one way or another.
(starting with basic and then upgrade)
This is how to upgrade the Offense Chamber.
I believe it should be able to upgraded by the 'skill' chambers that are in proximity of the OC and a gorge has to upgrade the OC manually. The 'Skill' Chambers should be relatively close (closer than the effect of the 'Skill' Chambers to the aliens.) Only one upgrade can be used per OC.
ex: if sensory is nearby the OC, it can be upgraded to shoot parasitic shots.
**examples of how it could be upgraded //One or Combination of following
If Movement Chambers are in proximity:
- Attacks multiple targets at the same time (even if damage is reduced)
- Ricochet shots (similar to the marine’s flechette rounds)
- Homing shots (slight in flight corrections)
If Defense Chambers are in proximity:
- Burrowed Attacks (similar to the attacks of the Sunken chamber from Starcraft)
* Temporary immobilization of enemy target
* Ability to attack on opposite side of wall if enemy target is spotted by aliens (useful for pesky sieges)
- Added Health Points added to OC
- Redemption effect of the res. (only res used to upgrade OC can be returned to the gorge who built it) //Use along in compliment to another DC upgrade.
If Sensory Chambers are in proximity:
- Parasitic shots (parasites target along with damage from spike) //Could be Temporary or Permanent
- Focus shots (added damage done by spikes)
- Silent and/or Cloaked shots from OC
Countering Upgraded OC's
As stated above, the OC's cannot be upgraded unless 'Skill' Chambers are present. Same with it's existence. If the 'Skill' chambers are destroyed the Upgraded OC's revert back to normal and the effects of them are terminated.
ex: Let's say the Redemption upgrade is in effect. If the marines destroy the 'Skill' Chambers before the OC. The Gorge who upgraded the OC will not get back any of the resources. However, if the rines destroy the Upgraded OC before the 'Skill' Chambers the gorge has it's chance to redeem the resources.
To reiterate. This is a general idea how upgrade OC's could work. Thoughts?

How many OC's can each upgrade chamber upgrade? Can 1 DC only upgrade 1,2 or 3 OC's? Or is it that the DC affects ALL the OC's in it's proximity?
I would think there should be a limit of how many OC's can be upgrades per Skill Chamber. Otherwise one could easily upgrade 6 OC's with 1 skill chamber.

Or a counterbalance would be the cost to upgrade the OC. if it's 5, 10, or 15 res. Though in NS2 there are going to be 2 different res types.
But I don't think it will matter if 1 skill chamber is present. If the Marines destroy it. the UOC's become normal OC's.
In terms of balance: i doubt it will be a problem. Even just one upgraded tower would be a substantial investment, which could be cleared out by sieges, a grenade launcher or a dedicated rush by marines.
A little bit off topic, but.... How about giving chambers/turrets a counter of how many players they killed?
