<div class="IPBDescription">Rewards for team players</div>Hi everyone, this is my first post so please dont tear me to shreds for posting a previous idea (i didnt want to search through 44 pages of forums)
Ive been a NS fan since day one and ive been greatly anticipating the arrival of NS2.
When it comes to customizing NS i've always felt that the Alien side has had more options.
The marines have always had to rely on a commander to make decisions, while the other side has a more collective and adaptable play style.
Basically the point im trying to get across is - Marines have to risk spending much more res than aliens to compete at the same level.
Instead of waiting for a commander to drop you weapon/armor - have points that can be used at the armory to issue tools when you need them
The commander can still drop items, but this would reward players who help out the team; Instead of "first come first serve".
I say all this because the players who cap that distant res node, and the ones that stay behind to weld damaged structures far too often go unrewarded.
The level of points would have to be small to be fair to the other side but things like these should be rewarded:
Kills
Welding
Res caps
Covering a Builder whos under attack
Completing Siege equipment
Defending a res node by yourself
This way at least some of the people using all the big guns have earned them.

Secondly, laziness (which is what your excuse sums up to) is not a valid excuse for not searching, and is a quick way to get exactly what you were undeservedly asking not to (ripped to shreds), or worse (a thread locked). It really shows a lack of disrespect for the entire community, and I sincerely doubt too many people will be willing to go any distance to meet you or your ideas in a situation where you are being disrespectful for no reason other than some belief that you are special and that the rules do not apply to you.
