Im just wondering why they bumped up price of the marine turrets when the accuracy seems to be no better than the alien off. towers. I dont know how many times I have seen skulks run circles around them, kill 2 marines, then run off to repeat it again.
because many alien players whined about turretfarms. i still don´t think that 30 turrets in an area is sane, but i lost my fear of turrets. they are sooooo easy prey if you know how to handle em.
I've played as the aliens a few times, and I have to say that turrets are more of a deterant than actual defense. If I see 10 turrets in a base, I won't attack it as a Skulk, but if there's only 1 or 2, I can take them out pretty easily.
From what I've gathered from other posts and my own experience, a marine with good aim is better than 4 turrets.
I think that upping the cost of turrets + making the change to turret factory was a bit too much. Maybe only doing one of the above was necessarly, because now you have to surrond the factory with turrets to actually make the thing effective which slows down marine way too much IMO.
When a marine commander puts 50 or more turrets in his base to stop alien attacks it makes everyone suffer from lag. The cost for the marines is good because for some reason the marine turrets cause alot of lagg when there is alot of them in one area. Pluse alien chambers do not make such lagg when there is alot of them in one area.

Also, the loss of a marine means nothing early on, but the loss of a turret is severe.
