<div class="IPBDescription">Fan-made movie</div>Zomg, fan made movies suck! Well, most do. But this one is cool. And free: <a href="http://www.thehuntforgollum.com/player_film-hd.htm" target="_blank">http://www.thehuntforgollum.com/player_film-hd.htm</a>

It's not perfect, but damn sweet.

It's definitely almost as good as this:

but it never would have gotten anywhere if they hadn't had the abundance of nature as their set designer.

Pretty cool, these low budget high quality movies. This reminds me of the HL2 in the real world videos.

Nature is doing some awesome stuff for them. Also the acting might even be better then LotR <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

<span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>I was constantly thinking, heh nice tricks with the hiding of Gollum like that, not need to render him in full detail huh?! Nice end shot though!</span>

Quite fantastic, really picks up around the 1/3rd to 1/2 mark. Loved Gollum's little song when he's in the sack.

Yep, pretty incredible. It's amazing what you can do with a camera, a computer and some ingenuity these days.

It was bugging me that I felt like I'd read this sequence somewhere in Tolkien's work before but I couldn't remember where. I asked my flatmate and he was all "no" but after some rummaging about on the interwebs it turns out I was right; it's based on some bits from the lengthy appendices of Lord of the Rings :3
