Why Don't Mines Seem To Be Shootable?

Over the last few days I've played a fair bit of NS from the alien side, and I've noticed one thing time and time again. Marines blocking off corridors with a wall of mines. I'm 99% certain I've read in these forums that these can be shot, but so far I've not found a single alien weapon capable of doing so. The skulk parasite doesn't damage them, and neither to the lerk dart things.

Do you need to use an acid rocket or what? Not that I'm hopeful as these and the bile bombs seem to do no damage to structures whatsoever, despite the manual saying the bile bomb should do double damage.

I love the mod, but these inconsistencies are a little frustrating.

    The acid rocket is doing the job!
    And surely the bile bomb but I did'nt see it in action.

    I love using the mines against he marines. I was a fade and this marine ran past some mines, but not far enough. I'm sure he though he had me but i just shot the mine.

    I have also helped take out a heavy marine with a mine. I sacrificed myself by setting off the mine and it hit the heavy marine. My buddy, another skulk, bit him once and took him down.

    I haven't tired shooting the mines with the spikes or parasite.

    The Fade and Gorge are the only aliens capable of detonating mines from a distance. The Fade with Acid Rocket and Bile Bomb, the Gorge with Babblers.
