NS FREEZE WHEN I JOIN A SERVER

nothing else to say the game freeze when i join a server
its looks like a sound issue have no idea...
i had same ATI display problem with i solve with "cl_gammaramp 0"
plus it looks like my character muve slower than normal
help me with this problem PLS

every thing is good installed...
and is not an internet connection problem i think, cuz i could play on my old computer

IIRC, gldscr games have problems if there is too much ram available (hooray for overflows <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />). Seeing that you are using vista64 you probaly have more than 4+ GB of RAM.

Try reducing the amount of system RAM to 2GB and see if it works.

Other than that: Run as XP comp mode. Set affinity to a single CPU and priority to high.
