<div class="IPBDescription">what the heck!</div>so scct uses star-force, which is the crappiest of all drm because it restricts you from copying the game so hard that it restricts anyone from playing it on a 64 bit machine. the game supposedly runs fine on 64 bit, but the drm craps out, which means i can't start the damn thing!

I put the dvd in the drive, and it just comes up telling me that it loves DRMs of the same gender and because of that won't start.

I heard something about patching star-force drivers to a later version and it works, but when i try and patch it it says that i never had any drivers initially installed so i can't patch them, but there's no way to just install drivers.

I also heard that if you use the Euro nocd patch then it magically works, but alas i live in dumb ol' America.

I've tried circumventing star-force, but apparently the only way to completely circumvent it is to use some program which frequently has a side effect of permanently removing your cd/dvd drives from being used, even after format, or just destroying them altogether.

has anyone, by chance, ever made this work? or have any ideas?

To Circumvate star force, just unplug your IDE and SATA drives.

Only if starforce cannot find any of those it will allow you to run from scsi drives, which can be savely and sucesfully emulated through deamontools.
