Question regarding the tools

As a veteran of failing at Hammer (those of you who've been here long enough will no doubt have seen my wretched attempts at 'mapping' on the NS boards), I'm wondering just how similar the new engine's design tools will be to those of the source engine.
In other words, what kind of learning curve will I face before I can start failing to map again?

As for the tools, Max has a very full plate and I'm very needy, so we're still figuring the final balance of what we need now and what can be held off or dropped entirely. Support for things such as the cinematic editor for the teaser and the menu support you've seen twittered lately take priority for the time being. We'll have more info for you by the time you get your hands on the editor.
