some of my ideas

<div class="IPBDescription">an idea! or more!</div>how about insteda pooling a bunch of gun which is kind of annoying, and the armory thing like in ns1, how about gun racks instead? and if u got a bad comm that only poofs up 1 kinda gun, or the kind u suck with, he instead just buys groups of guns, like "light guns, medim, gun, heavy, other(mines nades welders)" jet packs could be found here too. just walk up, hit E, pick gun group and wat gun via mini menu. and if you run out of ammo you just get ammo form it, you can also put you gun back or trade it for another.

i heard some ideas wher some Kharaa could chow on marines for hp and move the bodys/guns thay sed that id be neat to pile up guns from the dead and try to keep them from the marines while all the other mail stuff was happaning. well it be cool if you could move the dead marines too in this case. real animals pile ther food together and keep it safe, so if you can eat dead marines then it would encorage this kind of neat thing and it would be the Kharaa's way of healing its self if hurt.

moving guns brings the idea of trying to steal them from gun racks, which would be a neat way to weaken the marines.

i think it'd be cool if you could build barricades, would be easy to put in the game, would look like scrap metal, and would vary in strangth. i thot of this cuz i always see marines build in random stuff thay dont need to block the incoming hive hord, or building stuff to get into vents, and i think it would be usefull to have it in the game.

and last i wanted to put my ideas about the power grid in here. i like the idea of losing power and power grid stuff, but instead of it being hooked up to the comand station i think it should be big and small power generators small being lights doors and such big being stuff like most of your buildings, but the small one could power one or two of the buildings, and maby you could build some small power generators too to keep the needed stuff online.

Please... Please... PLEASE write your future posts to make some sort of sense if you would like your ideas to be considered.

Armory is being reworked: (You purchase your gun rather than commander giving you the gun)... May be dynamic with gun racks but it seems the guns are unlimited so I doubt that it will be based on gun drops by comm. (Shotgun rushes etc...) Though I do hope that is worked out so we can shotgun rush quickly enough rather than standing around for everyone to grab shotguns.

Aliens and food... No clue what the NS1/2 world is about in that standpoint. They feed off the infestation I am guessing. Marines are just hostile but probably not considered food.

Stealing guns is kind of dismissed and would be too effective of a tactic. You just protect guns from marines that you killed that are left on the ground (And already has been considered destroying those said guns in another topic)

Barricades: Welded doors Open/Shut: Based on mapmaker designs if they can make the door 1 element and multiply it around the map numerous times can make the map more dynamic.

Not too much information about the powergrid released yet. Well what am I saying... Not much information period really.

Appreciate it if you could separate your ideas one by one and put them in different topics. Makes reviewing them easier. And whatever starclaw said.

Yeah, im sorry but i have to comment on you and not your ideas also.

The first thing that came to mind when i hit up this thread was, "Wow. Wall of text. Hmm. No capitals. No headings? Should i bother?"

I would highly suggest reviewing your posts if in future you wish they be taken into consideration.

A little pro English goes a large way.

Now that that is out of the way, i like the idea of aliens moving things, but i think that it should be implemented much like when a player shoots a gun that is lieing on the ground in CSS. It just bumps around and the distance it is moved is dependent on the strength of the attack. I don't think aliens should have a dedicated means of actually picking up a weapon, just the ability to chomp it.

Aliens eating corpses? This sounds like a viable idea, but i'm not sure how it would work. Would it need to be a dedicated move? Would the body need to still be a solid object on the ground for it to be eaten? i.e. you have to run over it, rather than through it, and many more things stem from just these two things.

From a story standpoint, I don't think the aliens should be able to move weapons around. They are harmless in the eyes of the aliens, as they only see the marines as hostile. The aliens have their nature to defend themselves with, not intelligence. Otherwise, we'd start seeing them trying to shoot guns back. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

The aliens see a hostile, take them out, and move on. They don't think about technology and how it might work against them. I'd imagine if they saw a sentry for the first time EVER and it didn't fire, they'd walk right up to it sniffing it out...not even realizing they were staring down a gun barrel. Once it started shooting, then they'd consider it a "hostile being" and avoid or attack the sentry guns. They don't view dropped weapons as hostile...for in the eyes of the aliens, they are a "part" of this "hostile creature" hurting them, and once that creature goes down, it's all good.
