<div class="IPBDescription">one cheater, ban on every server</div>How will you handle cheaters?
I know if there is a admin, he get banned, but only on one server.
I play sometimes Day of Defeat source or team fortress 2, there alot of glitch user and cheater.
How you will handle this?
If you think everybody will ban a cheater, think again, because not every cheater is stupdi, if you a bit smart, you cheat like nobody care it, e.g. Wallhack, norecoil, nobody can realy notice it.
I found many cheaters in Valve games, but you can't do anything.
I read you will just use the valve anti-cheat, thats very weak <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
Because there a lot of tricks on youtube and stuff to avoid VAC.
And i like lua realy, but can you do a block for some server?
I am sure there a lot of admin who change some scripts like they "give steamid... 10hp per second and stuff".
And whats with the safety?
First time, garry mod was released, it has a big lua safety failure.
I hope you understand my bad english.

When you play on a secure server, and are found to be hacking, you are banned.
When you are banned on a secure server, you are banned from all secure servers via your steam id.
Pretty sure this works awesomely, as long as your NS server is regularly monitored by Admins to stop the hackers. As far as i knew, there was no way around a banned steam id.
There is no other way to handle this. You cant give admins global ban rights on secure servers, if its that what you want?
Humans act with personal feeling - and lie to them self... there would be 100reds of illegal bans for nothing, than make this uber admins angry...
vac comes with steamworks - so there wont be an alternative, am i right?

If getting banned for "hacking" by an admin meant you'd be banned from every server, I'd be banned from every game I've ever played a significant amount of time, from CS to DOD to NS to TF2 to L4D. Yes, even L4D.
This means that for a universal anti-cheat system, it must be automated, not up to the whims of a random guy with his own server. Then, it is up to admins to enforce fair play on individual servers, so ultimately your game experience depends on playing on a server with a good community and good admins. That is how you avoid cheaters. Anti-cheat software only goes so far, because it can be countered with better cheat technology. It's just one of those things in life you have to learn to work around.

not sure yet, pre-order can or can't be for steam.
But anyway, there are "alleged" ways to cheat VAC...i don't know how, i don't wanna know but there are.
I hope it ban the most cheaters.
Judging by the DOTA community, banlists are potentially the worst form of drama. Most of the bans on such lists are made through angry teenage angst for the most trivial reasons. Imagine being banlisted from 80+ random servers for not going MC first as aliens, or not giving an admin an HMG as commander.
Now, saying if you get "caught" cheating on one server, and you get banned by that admin, then you would be banned from the entire server list. ###### terrible idea bro. How many times was I banned for cheating when I never touched a hack in my life. I would have quit NS1 a long time before I did.
In no way should one person have control over all the servers. I do think they should improve the cheat recognition on steam, or their own engine. This would remove any problems about hackers at any time if it good enough.
I just hate the fact that some admins just think they know everything, when they are arguing with someone who's played 10 times longer than he did, and happens to know more about the game than he does. It's just stupid. There should be something that they can use that is 100% accurate in any hack detection. That way he can just stfu and let the player own him. :P
