Installing

<div class="IPBDescription">Common</div>hi, i downloaded the mod and tried to install it. Then the "setup has not detected a valid steam install" pops up. i have klicked the link in the common topic and repaired steam once again, and i downloaded an other install from an other mirror. still the same things pops up. i got hl1 on cd and it has been installed. ideas?

punch the CD Key into steam and install that way (as the topics all say)

yeah tried that also, but more than only me has used the cd, so it has been registred on more than one comp. so if you punch in the cd-key it says it has allready been used. thats why im wondering if there is an other way

If it is LEGITIMATELY your CD Key (and are fine with screwing over anyone you 'shared' it with), I believe that valve has some way of helping you. Contact them via steampowered.com

If this isn't the case, buy a new copy of HL via steam.
