I have constant 80+ FPS then whenever I want to shoot rifle/pistol my FPS just drops like hell. Say I press my mouse button 10 times, only 3 or 4 register. It doesn't seem to happen as alien, but always happens as a marine...
I've turned every single GFX option down I can see. I have the latest drivers (lol - onboard gfx... wish I kept my most recent PC :p) and latest DX (this PC I'm using is pretty pants but my PC I had years ago could handle the game!) I don't have any wireless router/modem/keyboard/mouse, I guess maybe it's in dyer need of a format...
So apart from smashing it up into little pieces with a 20lbs hammer or an axe or throwing it out the window... you get the idea, I don't know what to do

It's like I want to turn left so I use my mouse to go that direction but it doesn't move, even if I drop kick it off my desk I'm still pointing the direction I was...
I've just had net graph up and it's showing as low as 20fps, only seems to happen on certain maps - there's one CO map were I can't move at all :s
This is the reason why I stopped playing, stupid PC :(
Ctrl+Alt+Delete [proccesses] right click HL.EXE & set to low (I think this is right)
- I used to have to do this for a mouse lag problem I was having. It was a pain in the ass to do each time you run the game but it helped me at the time.
Also you can try turning mouse acceleration off for just NS by adding this to your NS launch properties in Steam:
-noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd
And see if that helps at all.
My troubles went away when I got a different mouse. Perhaps updating your mouse drivers could help>?
Oh and here are some more ideas
