Armor & Weapon Upgrades Shown on Model

Hi, I tried using the search to see if this was already suggested, but I'm terrible with the search thing.

Anyway, as the title suggested, I always thought it would be cool if the level of weapon and armor upgraded would show up on the Marine model. It would be cool to see because then it would be like:
Skulk: oh crap! the marines how have a bigger helmet and shoulder pads. . . looks like they've got armor 2 now.
or
Marine: check out my awesome magnum pistol with scope and everything (yes I know about the knew taser thing)

I personally think this would be cool, and especially if if could be worked into the Kharaa for things like carapace too.

What's everyone's thoughts on this idea?

    Sounds interesting, probably won't be at release if it does happening, but definately sounds interesting.

    Means you can spot the tanked skulk leaping at you and realise your knife/taser/pistol might just NOT do the trick (quickswap to shotgun).

    It would be a really awesome idea if pulled off correctly, but it does take a long time to create all these things. Looking at how UWE is handling the pistol/knife with a taser, I cant see it happening on release.

    This is an awesome idea!!! As it should be with the aliens as well. At least then there are some visual queues to what you are up against.
