Question on the dynmic infestation.

in NS2 General Discussion
is the infestation going to move in a line like the preview video? or will it radiate from the hive. kind of growing in a rigid circle? it seems that if it radiated outwards in like a growing circle it would seen to accommodate the the fact that it is actually taking over like nature would. (because when have you see in nature like an old abandoned place just 1 single line of greenery and the rest is fine?)

    I don't think it will.. that was a very early test, made before they decided to make their own engine (I think).

    I recall reading somewhere on here that the alien commander will have something to do with 'deploying the infestation?' or making it spread... I'm not sure how much control he/she would have with it, but I think it's safe to assume that the process will look fairly natural and not in any way geometrical.
    I'm not 100% sure on the alien commander part though.

    they just need to use calcumulus to make sure the rate at which radius grows corresponts to infestion covering area at a constant rate :B
