<div class="IPBDescription">Loss of bite for spike</div>I personally dislike the idea, the favored tactic of lerk pros is dive bite fly around dive bite, repeat.

I think, personally, the lerk should have a slightly weaker to flesh bite, and a more anti-armor bite, plus a light, medium ranged, spike, the Spikes doing 1 damage per pair, having a medium attack speed, giving him a minor range direct damage ability.

Please just put a minor comment on my idea and move onto yours, and your thought about

    As I wrote in the other lerk bite thread:
    <!--quoteo(post=1723858:date=Aug 20 2009, 06:01 PM:name=pSyk0mAn)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (pSyk0mAn @ Aug 20 2009, 06:01 PM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=1723858"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I think lerk spikes should work similar to the marine shotgun, so it's most effective in close range.

    If you change the melee weapon "bite" to another ranged weapon "spikes", there is no point for the lerk to get close to marines and moreover no point for marines to see a threat in an approaching lerk.
    Thus it looses it's ability to distract good marines and soak up some bullets in order to help nearby skulks.
    Also sitting in some vent or on some clorf dodging bullets and spiking farther away marines seems kinda boring to me.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Oh, yeah, did I mention that there is another thread about that topic:

    Since lerks seem to be more of a support class, it would be interesting to give the lerk both bite and spikes, however, make one of them a disabling technique. Using bite or spike, you can shoot/bite them in a certain place to reduce their movement speed or lower their accuracy.

    Shooting marines in the legs with spikes might be a little too overpowered, but certainly not for the Bite skill.
