The sackboy movie
Figured someone else would have posted about it by now. But I saw this on Wednesday night. It's awful. Don't go see it.

It completely lacks any kind of compelling story elements. It could literally be told to you by a six year old boy going "and then this happened, and then this happened, and then this happened,..." and accurately convey all the backstory and reasoning the actual movie gives you for why any of it is happening.

    Concept it self seemed weird.

All humans disappear and everything else, but these guys from Little Big Planet spawn and live on the Earth? Is Playstation 3 telling us something here?

    wtf

I haven't seen the full movie, but I gotta say this before this thread goes too far. It's based off a 10 minute short movie ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IQcMeNh7Hc ) made like 4 or 5 years ago. This isn't damn sackboy here, ok? :P I enjoyed that short quite a bit, but have yet to see the full movie.

That short is roughly the exact same experience as the feature length movie. No real reason why anything is happening, it just is.

So if you'd like to see the same story, but have it take about 9 times longer to tell, then by all means see the movie.

Wow. Did you just create a thread to moan about a movie you watched? This actually makes me want to go see it now.

I created a thread so people know not to see it. Save your money.

I rarely go to movies as it and I'm one of the few who actually pay for movies. I'm sure most people here will just get them for free if you know what I mean haha.

I am mildly interested in this.
Watched the 9minute version on youtube. Looks interesting indeed.

Coming from a 3D Art POV, looks very interesting... I'm looking into these sorts of things as inspiration for what I can eventually do down the track.

Still gonna see it, been waiting for a full-length movie since the short debuted. Would of liked to see it without any voice acting, but oh well.

You only make me more curious though! Besides I pay £13 for unlimited cinema access every month. I generally only go 3/4 months of the year but it well over pays what I end up seeing in those few months.
