Help with pre order key!

I need some help withe the NS2 pre-order Standard Edition. I payed already for it and I get the key but after I past it into Steam it tells me that the key is not valid. How to get the beta at Steam? Any help is welcome ^^

Beta aint out yet. Even Alpha aint out yet. Guess you have to wait little bit more before you can do anything with that key =)

Dam and I was so happy and thought that its already a playable beta released.
Ok so I have to wait with killing aliens. At least I have the key and I help the developers a bit with my money.
