Moddb Date?

Well I was checking my moddb updates and I saw Natural Slection 2 with that iphone app. I went to the moddb page and it said the game was Coming Oct 1, 2009. I am sure I do not remember it saying that or maybe i hit my head on the wall too much. Was that there before?

    As far as I knew, it's supposed to be released in the fall. I don't know about an exact date though.

    I would only trust dates posted on the official NS2 site and for now, there has been no release date set.

    I doubt someone would update it like that without some kind of hint.

    Yes, ModDB updates are handled by one or more community members (sorry, I don't know who). Do not take anything on that site as official. They likely picked that date as a hope :P

    And just because it says it was updated recently, that can be screenshots, news or a plethora of other things changed.

    I'm one of the people managing ModDB. I definitely didn't add that date; my guess is that it was added before me or the other two guys even came on board, because I don't think any of use would have changed it. Our job is just to add news, videos, and screenshots/concept art, not mess with stuff like the release date. I would say Flayra or whoever was originally in charge set it to October 1 just because they were planning on October.

    I'd change it but I don't want to go around stepping on toes.

    You didn't read the tweet? The alpha is going to be released on Sept 29th, the beta on Sept 30th, and the official release is Oct 1st.

    Odd that noone pointed that out earlier if it's been there a while. But, meh. Let's not read to much into it.

    My biggest hope is Alpha and tools at October the 31st for nostalgia!

    So, what are the scheduled release dates for NS2? It's supposed to be released this fall and preorders get beta access... won't be a long beta period then.
