Steam Achievements ?

I write my second post (please see the first @ Zen of Sudoku). I like the first Natural Selection, and i just want to know if steam achievements are planned for Natural Selection 2 ?

I don't think in the first release will be any steam achievements, but is not a bad idea to add it in the future.

Yeh, their general approach has been "Do we want this so bad we would delay the whole game for it?". I think this isn't one of those game delaying features.

Achievements should help on game fun, and have to be really fun to achieve them, that's why I don't want them on a first release but later. If the alpha and beta goes well, then they could think on adding now this, but it always delay things because it have to be funny to make, not only how many alien/marine you kill.

How about making a possible list:

<b>Marines</b>
Where are you going? - Teaser/Knife a skulk when leaping (until we know what will be the melee weapon I add both)
Hero of the day - Save your squad from an Onos (kill the Onos without deaths on your squad)
Rock you all night long - Kill an Onos by yourself with no help.
Scramble eggs - Kill 10 aliens when they are still an egg.

<b>Aliens</b>
I need a toothpick - As skulk, kill an squad by yourself.
Knocking on heaven's door - Being an Onos destroy all the doors in a map.
Infect my soul - Infect 10 marines in a single life (Gorge)
I'm not your breakfast - A marine is shooting you as an egg and you have to kill him as soon you evolve.
My breath smells of roses - Spore and kill with it 10 marines.

How does i shot web? - Kill a marine in a web thats not yours with spit.
