<div class="IPBDescription">(captain planet, he's a hero...)</div>In the old video about lighting, the skybox looks to be made of concept art. Is this how it will look in the final game?

I think I remember seeing some models a long time ago that UWE was developing for out in the skybox. I think that extra geometry out there will make it look a little bit more interesting but I love the artistic styling of the concept art. In that video even though there isn't much out the windows, the consistent lighting and everything makes it fit and take hold my imagination.
In the image above it's hard to tell where the art ends and the game begins. I think that this is a very good thing.
edit: If you don't understand the title, we already have threads for fire and water on the front page.

I had never noticed that in the video. Good look.
And it looks very very good.
Also it's nice if the concept art is appearing somewhere in game and not only "thrown in trash" after the game's finished.
This would give the Game a +1 to unique Style and Atmosphere.
Don't understand how they keep such a low system requirements though.

Halo 2 does that for most of its backdrops.
Also bear in mind that is a badly compressed youtube video so everything looks like it's made of jpegs.
But that's not what makes it look "together". That's the lighting and the atmospheric effects.

I love being amazed by the concept originally, and then even more amazed when the actual product surpasses the concept art. The same thing happened with the new Marine models. I love the look. It's not ultra-realistic, but everything just looks like high-quality concept art.
And the fact that you can't see anything clearly in the video.
I can tell what's world and what's skybox in halo 2 when playing it even though it's done very well, but I couldn't if you showed me a badly pixellated video of it.,
