Friday the 13th
Run for the hills, save your game progress and unplug your three-sixties, I'ts FRIDAY THE 13TH
In an attempt to not make this something spammy:
Do you believe certain days are more likely to be unfortunate then others? Are we bound to do more mishaps than other days because we slightly change our behavior or become nervous if we believe it affects us?

Comments
Or do we simply NOTICE them more because we are expecting them?
My general take on most things is option 3. It isn't that things change, it is simply how we perceive them.
If you believe anything other than this, or a variant of this, I hate you.
Seriously.
On the other hand, it ALSO wouldn't surprise me if Friday the 13th turned out to be a less "unlucky" day than most. Consider: "Oh damn, today is Friday the 13th! Better be extra careful!"

I just played Modern Warefare 2, so yes, I'm never getting a new game on Friday the 13th again. Bunch of fail.
IIRC that is actually the case acording to some study a year or so back.
Make of this what you will.
As a side note, today hasn't been bad at all.
I didn't even take into account the day though, superstitious bullocks.

Was that day basically coined by the movie, or did that day have some sort of stigma before the original movie was even released? Anyone know?
Whoops, wrong thread :)
