Charlie was quoted in late October as saying that the tools would be released 'next month'... I'm pretty sure.
Simple question. Will they be released in the next week? If they're not ready then they're not ready, but some of us are salivating at the idea and would like an update on the release date :)

I'm with you on that one. But seeing the supposed release is soon, I think the only update we'll get is the one telling us how to download.
I can't wait for the tools to be released... I really am hoping they're out tomorrow or the day after. I already have a map I've planned out on paper, but it's just not the same without an editor to see what can and can't be done so easily!
I'm definitely looking forward to the tools. :D
I said it in many topics and ill say it again I hope we would allso have a subforum for map making so we can share ideas and maybe even work together on a single map.
that's crazy, you've been here 5 years with only 2 posts so far...
They haven't said anything about a delay...I predict the tools won't be released until Thanksgiving day/weekend - it seems like a rather fitting time for a release (and will allow them to take a break for the holiday)
Even if the map tools are pretty much ready now (and they should be), I'm sure there are minor tweaks and additions to the mapping guidelines, etc. that they can make to fill any amount of time they have available
Fall 09 anyone?
Or not :'( :D
:(
Yes, you will.
I'm less inclined to throw this phrase around so readily now that we're dealing with a commercial prospect, but...
It'll be done when it's done. Patience is a virtue.
