Wow, some of you guys are so joyless. Seriously. The "time wasting" was in fact a test scene put together as a timing test, a necessary test so one of our programmers can figure out some important information on making the game better. The rest of us saw it, and thought it was humorous, and convinced him to record it out so we could post it for our community.
And, yes, the deaths are going to be handled with ragdolls, however we would like to add some personality to the deaths, as well, so we will most likely use a combination of some sort.

And I'm also with KonserniJohtaja, the Gorge shouldn't die in a horrible way, its not fair for the cute gorge (I always felt sad when I killed one of those cuties) and it's in my opinion not the style of NS to rely on exploding bodies to make it enjoyable, thats for modern shooters where the developers run out of creativity and were too stupid to add any depth or atmosphere to their games (happens quite often :( )

Quick question. Is the Editor event driven - ie. were the Gorges set to die once the one before them had hit the ground? Or were they set to die at a specific time intervals - like every .5 sec or whatever?
