There's not actually very much* shape morphing. It's mostly just opacity change / blurring of still frames. It's done very well, but yeah.

I want this person to do art for a game for me. :)
The video is pretty awesome.

* I won't say there wasn't any because there are some spots in that film that it could have been..

Like the apple falling in the beginning and changing into a human shape, I do not detect any opacity change, but it could be a opacity+size change...

The transitions are amazing but I think they've basically just taken the last frame of the first and the first frame of the next piece and done a morph tween on them in 2D.

That said there's so many transitions so there might be multipe techniques in there :3

It might just be because there's nothing to distract from it like details/textures but I find the motion of the characters crazily good... everything just seems to have the right amount of momentum. In most 3D stuff momentum seems a bit 'cartoony' or exagerated while in this vid everything seems to flow. I suspect they used physics on the hair and some of the clothes to help though :o
