To each their own, and it takes a lot of guts to dress in such an alternative fashion. The fashion is also the only thing really strange about this, the rest of it is pretty much what everyone wants... a feeling of belonging, a group of people you can really depend on.
I'm really impressed with the parent at the end who obviously doesn't LOVE that her son does this, but is accepting and supportive of it anyways... understanding that there are worse things out there than expressing yourself, even when it is a way that defies social norms.
Re: lolfighter- yeah, the news broadcast seems to be biased in that direction, but the actual coverage and what the kids and parents say don't fit with the reactions of the news broadcasters. They are just uncomfortable with people being different. :P
the problem is they are dressed like gothic furries.. So the fashion isnt new at all.. Its just a dumb rip off of both fashions.
Now I have no issues with people who dress up as furries for fun and get togethers, it looks like they have alot of fun playing the characters they are, even if they only have a tail, a mask, paws and tail, or a complete suit.
It isnt a new fashion, and I don't think furry enthusiasts will like them much. Especially since one of them was found in possession of a stolen dogs skull, that's not cool.

I agree with everything here, except that I think often times new fashions tend to be a mix of the old. I imagine if this sticks around it would differentiate itself further from both goth and furry.
The dogs skull is a different story entirely... Yeah, it's creepy... but I don't know why they didn't go into that more... They just kind of dropped it in there like "omg these kids are evil" without actually having any real journalism investigating behind it.

Don't expect real journalism these days, where all they do is make statements to try and make people say things... Journalism has died a long time ago...
PS: you can seek in embedded videos by adding &start=60 to the tag(number being seconds) Example: <!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1--><!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
