Some friendly advice please?

Hey was just wondering about a couple of things so wondered if anyone else had the magical answers to my quieries.
Firstly has anyone played around with the refinary flood light prop yet?
I really like it but I want to have them dotted around a room and all controlled by one RT so if you drop the rt they come on (For marines obveously).
However its easy to link them with cables lying around but linking the cables to the lights is confusing me.
I want it to look seemless because im pretty OCD so... you will have to excuse me for that.
But there is a small wire that gets half way down the tri-pod towards the floor then stops.
Does anyone have any idea how I could link from this wire to a ground cable?

Secondly there are a large number of props with "Bay 7" or just 7 on the texture.
Does anyone know whether we will be able to retexture props in the future?
If so I will insert the props now as place holders and when I have the chance to retexture them I will do so and swap them in.
If not I wont be able to use these props is all because again... OCD means I dont want all NS2 maps to be on the mystical bay or deck 7....

2. This feature is coming. The 7 will be removed and you can use decals. No exact date for it is set though.

Is it possible to set face transparancy and opacity?
And is it possible to import custom textures and is there a good tutorial anyone could link me to? :)
(That showed how to edit the originals but if I edit originals and save them as new names will it work ok? Or do I need to do something else?)

EDIT: It just occurred to me that that's a pre-Builder tutorial. At any rate the process from Breadman's tutorial video is the same for completely new textures (he's actually creating a texture with a new name, even though he's editing an existing texture).
