Ns Problem

OK so I started off having the black sprite problem over my hud, so I followed the advice on the sticky thread but after typing the command into the console every time I click anywhere in the game window it tabs out to the desktop. any help would be great.

    Where the "Crosshairs have black squares; Pop-up Menu mashed up in one corner of screen"

    You're suppose to fix that by changing the video mode to OpenGL.
