Of course this doesn't have to be the case. Or at least hopefully it won't be for NS2, at least...
dont forget Aliens: colonial marines which is released after avp. its a L4D like coop game with different player classes and objective based missions. this game is even more like NS. engineers can weld and hack stuf, you got a medic, a heavy weapons support class, you can place those automated sentry guns, the whole game looks like the wet dream of any aliens fan. it mostly plays on the uscm vessel sulaco which drifts through space after the events of alien 3. several groups of scavangers boarded the ship to loot it, but got infected by facehuggers , which came most propably with the queen on board. the game developers have reconstructed the sulacos decks like in the movie , and for the rest of the ship they hired the original sulaco set designer who worked with cameron on the sulaco for aliens . so, do not forget about colonial marines over all the avp hype, both look like awesome games for us starving aliens fans
