Firstly, hello to everyone,

This is my 1st post and I must salute every fans here, and off course applause the incredible work done by the NS team.
I'm a fan, from france, since many years and I'm very exited by the upcoming NS2.

Here is my humble suggestion:

While I was reading a post about a "New Kharaa Specie: The Symbiot", I thought that it might be a great gameplay option for a gorge to get a ride on a bigger kharaa. We can allready do it with the lerk in NS 1, right, but wont it be fun to be able to do the same with an onos? Or even a fade?

It would be just for transportation purpose and would help accessing high spots like vent. It would just consist in jumping on the back off a mate to climb on, and jump again to get down. Off course there would be no penalty for the other kharaa, even if in reality, it should. Cause it'll be hard to understand for players to be took as a horse and slowed down...

Perhaps the gorge could keep its ability too shoot, or even to heal its mate, but I'm afraid this could be a little too powerfull.

bye

    I like it.

It seems a lot more fun to play as a gorge on an onos that as the "symbiote" as described in the other thread.

It also gives the onos the role of evacuating teammates or rushing them past enemy defenses.

It could be expanded to a little more than just transportation. I think that the gorge should still be able to attack and drop structures. This would the gorge a much stronger support role by allowing the onos to be healed by its own personal gorge.

As far as I know, it would be a gameplay mechanic that no other game has.

On a side note: Instead of just having the gorge sit on top of the onos, since the kharaa are just made of a mass of bacterium, it would be cool to see the gorge fuse itself to the onos.
